#1 Become a virtual assistant

Being a VA (virtual assistant) is the perfect job if you’re good at many things! As a VA you never know what can be thrown your way.

Your tasks can be anything from social media management, setting up email campaigns, and customer service, to creating graphics, and project management.

Anything you can think of that is needed in a business can be thrown your way!

It’s a really great opportunity for someone like me (Jo) since I am obsessed with ticking off things from my to-do list, I’m very organized, and I enjoy making people happy by taking some work and time off of their hands.

Does this sound like you too? Check out this post for more on how to be a VA: Virtual Assistant 101: What It Is And How You Get Started.

#2 Become an audio voiceover

Do you enjoy talking and reading? If your answer is yes then why not become an audio voiceover?!

Audio books, online how-to-guides, and videos are growing and growing so now is the perfect time to get your foot in the door and find your specific niche that you’d love to do voiceovers for!

The beauty of being an audio voiceover is that you don’t even have to leave your house. Find a nice quiet area in your house where you won’t be disturbed and get talking!

#3 Become a copywriter

Are you really great with words? Do you love being creative? Is your grammar top-notch? Then being a copywriter might be your dream job!

As a copywriter you help your clients with writing their texts, blogs, emails, you name it.

People who run blogs or businesses have A LOT of copy (text) to write and it can be hard if writing isn’t their strong suit. This is where you come into the picture!

You can help them by writing their copy for them and in return you get paid!

You get money to fund your travels and they get more time on their hands to work on other parts of their business. It’s a win-win situation!

#4 Become an online teacher

Have you ever wanted to teach English online and remotely from your laptop or smartphone?

Well thankfully for companies like VIPKid and Palfish you can work from almost anywhere in the world as long as you’re in a quiet environment with a stable internet connection.

You will mostly be teaching young Chinese students from the age of 3-15, and they’re SO cute! If you love kids and love teaching then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Here are two great guides to teaching online: 11 Ways To Be a Successful Online English Teacher & The Best Way For Teachers to Make Extra Money This Summer.

If you’re wondering about the hours and what it’s like working in North America or Europe then I have pointed out all the benefits and disadvantages in this post: What are the hours like with VIP KID.

It will give you a better idea of what it’s like and if it’s something you want to pursue or not.

#5 Become a transcriptionist

If you’re a good listener and a fast typer, then this may be the perfect job for you!

As a transcriptionist you write down anything for your clients they have recorded and need in written text… Interviews, podcasts, even medical records – you name it!

Being a transcriptionist pays pretty well – especially if you’re a fast typer since you often get paid per word.

Plus you can also find work in a niche that you enjoy and are passionate about like comedy, sports, crime, global news, etc!

#6 Become a graphic designer

If you have an eye for art and creativity then you should definitely explore the possibilities of becoming a graphic designer.

Most companies nowadays use online marketing and advertising and that’s all done by graphic designers.

If you’re passionate and ambitious you can easily grow your clientele and grow your own business.

Many amazing graphic designers are self-taught and just grow their business through connections and referrals!

…and then you can create cool graphics like this one:

Depending on what type of photography you do there will always be someone needing your expertise. Wedding shoots, landscape photography, and photographing influencers are just a few options! You can basically do all of this anywhere in the world.

I’m pursuing a career of a blogger at the moment. That means we know, it’s not as easy life as it might seem and not everyone can do that. You need to be really determined and able to push yourself. There is no visible whip above you and it all depends on you alone.
