We made this mistake too – many times – and it wasn’t until recently we actually visited Golden for the first time! We loved it so much that we ended up staying for 4 days!

Everywhere you look in Golden, you will see mountains. From the famous Kicking Horse Mountain Resort to Mount 7 and Navvy Peak, you are surrounded by beautiful nature.

That also means that a lot of the hotels in Golden have mountain views – and we’re here for it!

6 Beautiful hotels in Golden, BC

Golden BC has become increasingly popular over the years thanks to awesome attractions like the Golden Skybridge, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, and the Northern Lights Wolf Sanctuary which make Golden a great destination to visit any time of the year.

In this post, you’ll find some of the best places to stay in Golden BC. All of them are located close to the town center and we’ve included options at different price levels – so hopefully you can find something that fits your budget and level of comfort.

One thing we love about Golden is that even though it’s a small town, there is a nice variety of accommodation. From beautiful, unique lodges to more simple hotels and cheaper motels you can find something for every preference.

Prices have definitely gone up over the past few years but if you book in advance and try to avoid the peak season you can still get some decent deals.

Whether you’re just stopping for a night or you’re coming for a longer visit, we hope this list of hotels will come in handy for planning your trip!

We stayed in the heart of Golden at Rooms at Riveredge for 4 nights during our recent visit to Golden and it was great!

We loved the private riverfront patio where we could sit outside and enjoy the views of the river, the trees, and the beautiful mountains in the background.

From this hotel, you’re within walking distance of some of the best restaurants and cafes in Golden, all the cute little shops, as well as the weekly farmer’s market!

If you’re planning to stay in Golden for a few nights, this is a great place to stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, and there’s a yummy breakfast place right next door.

We really liked how easy it was to check in here. The owners of the hotel send you all the information you need beforehand and then you can check yourself in. There’s also parking available right next door and you’ll find your parking permit within the room.

Location-wise, you can’t beat this spot when it comes to hotels in Golden! We would definitely stay here again!

Moberly Lodge is the most beautiful mountain lodge tucked away in the Canadian mountains surrounded by pine trees and mountain views.

When it comes to luxury places to stay in Golden, BC this is one of the top lodges to stay at.

The Moberly Lodge is great if you want a bit of privacy and want to stay closer to nature. If you don’t mind driving into Golden when you want to explore the town or go for coffee or dinner, this is a great place to stay. 

Everything about the lodge – from the rooms to the food to the location – is just stunning. A magical nature escape only a few minutes’ drive from Golden!

Basecamp Lodge is another awesome lodge to stay at which is located next to the river on the north side of Golden. It’s a small town though so it’s only a 2-3 minute drive to the heart of town from the lodge. 

There are a few different room options to pick from, a wood-burning lobby fireplace, and a coffee bar on site!

Basecamp Lodge is part of a chain called Basecamp Resorts which has +10 lodges and resorts in AB and BC – all of which are stunning! You know you get good quality when you stay at a Basecamp.

It’s a great location if you just want to get out, walk around, and explore the area. The mountains and outdoors are right at the doorstep of Basecamp Lodge so it’s a great place to stay for a few nights while exploring Golden, BC!

If you’re looking for a more traditional hotel in Golden, BC then this is your place. The Inn by Wyndham is located just east of Golden roughly 5 minutes from town.

The nice thing about staying at Wyndham is that you get a stunning view overlooking Golden and the mountain range around. 

The rooms are great and have all the typical amenities you would expect to have at a good hotel including hot tubs in a lot of the rooms.

At the Inn, you’ll get free breakfast with your stay, and if you eat too much, you can go burn it off at the fitness centre. There are also plenty of walking paths nearby and you’re close to the famous Golden Skybridge which is Canada’s highest suspension bridge and also an adventure park.

This hotel is a great place to stay if you’re looking to explore Golden and its surroundings! It’s not as private as some of the other places but it’s got a good setup and it’s a nice, comfortable place to stay.

The Prestige Inn is another comfortable hotel in Golden. It’s located just off the Trans Canada so it’s perfect if you’re just looking for a place to stay for the night. It’s a bit far to walk to the centre of town though.

It is, however, a great hotel if you plan to explore Golden and its surroundings. Prestige is already on the way to Northern Lights Wolf Sanctuary and it’s not far from Golden Skybridge either! 

Inside the hotel, you’ll find a few indoor pools where you can relax after a full day of skiing or hiking (Terminator Peak is an awesome hike if you’re looking for a recommendation). 

There are a few restaurants connected to the hotel as well that have typical American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

Also, there is a little convenience store and liquor store all connected to the building. So you really don’t have to go far to enjoy your stay.

However, there are some amazing restaurants and cafés in Golden so make sure you don’t miss out on those! 😉

This is probably the most unique stay out of all the hotels here in Golden, BC! You can use this tiny house as your base for exploring the outdoors right in your backyard!

If you stay here, you’ll get your own tiny cabin with a hot tub, mountain views, access to a treehouse sauna, and a huge deck to enjoy the beautiful nature here in BC!

Golden is an outdoor paradise and you’ll truly feel it at the Kicking Horse Tiny House.

While you do pay a pretty penny for the place, we will say that this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a really unique place to stay near Golden.
