Where to Stay in Brno, Czech Republic (in 2025)
Brno is the Czech Republic’s student city, but it’s also become a popular place for travellers and tourists alike. It’s definitely worth making the trip to this south-eastern part of the Czech Republic to visit this beautiful city.
A fun fact about Brno is that most locals and Czechs actually call it “a big village”. The main reason is that the city itself isn’t that big, and it’s mainly a lot of villages around Brno where people commute to the city from.
Unlike Prague, there aren’t tons of different districts and areas, but there are still some better places to stay in Brno, and we want to highlight those in this post.

On top of that, the city is full of events from art galleries to concerts and a whole lot more. Make sure to check out all the events in Brno happening here to help plan your stay.
Whether you’re just going for one day in Brno or a weekend trip to the city, you’ll be able to enjoy everything from the markets to the coffee shops and all the other fun things you can do here.
Old Town & Spilberk Castle (Hotel International Brno)

Otherwise, it’s also a stunning hotel located in the Old Town of Brno next to Spilberk Castle!
The hotel has everything from bars to restaurants on site, so you don’t need to go far to treat yourself (although if you want to, this restaurant guide will help you find the best places to eat).
Hotel International Brno also has great views overlooking Brno and is within walking distance of most of the highlights you’ll visit during your time in Brno. All around, it’s a great hotel for a stay in Brno.
✈️ If you’re flying into Brno, then Hotel International has an airport shuttle service included in the stay.
Silingrovo Square (Grand Palace Brno)

The Grand Palace Brno is one of the most beautiful hotels in the city. Located right on Silingrovo Square, you’re walking distance to all the best coffee shops in Brno and restaurants.
This 5-Star hotel is basically located in the heart of the city, so you can’t get a much more central spot than this.
Especially if you only have a few days in the city, it’s the best place to stay because of its walkability to everything.
The hotel itself has everything you can imagine, from an a la carte restaurant to a delicious breakfast buffet in the mornings.
If you’re looking to treat yourself or just want to experience a wonderful hotel, then enjoy a night or two at the Grand Palace in Brno.
Vegetable Square (Grandezza Hotel Luxury Palace)

From the top-tier customer service to its location in our favourite square (vegetable square) in Brno, the Grandezza Hotel is truly a cut above the rest.
This hotel has everything you need and more. You’ll have almost no need to leave the hotel because of all the excellent amenities, such as the spa, gym, and restaurant.
Saying that, Brno is a stunning city to explore, and right around the corner, you have Monogram Espresso Bar, which is one of our favourite coffee shops in the city.
You also have the regular market that takes place at the Vegetable Square right outside your hotel! The hotel location is perfect and will make for an awesome time in the city.
Business District (Courtyard by Marriott Brno)

This is the first hotel we mention that isn’t located in downtown Brno, and it’s because Courtyard by Marriott Brno can’t be missed.
There’s everything from a beautiful lounge and dining area to a nice area to cowork if you need to get some work done.
It’s not the same vibe as staying in Old Town Brno, as you get a bit more business clientele staying here.
Even though the Marriott Hotel is located in the business district of Brno, you can easily take a tram to the old town in under 10 minutes.
The Marriott is great if you’re looking to stay a bit out of the city and want to stay in the business area in a stunning hotel.
Brno Center and Old Town (Royal Ricc Hotel)

Located on one of the oldest and most historic streets in Brno, you will find the classy Royal Ricc. If you’re looking for something a bit more romantic and antique decor, the Ricc is the place.
This Baroque building is originally from the 1500s but was renovated in the late 1900s. It’s the perfect combination of antique decor and art with modern amenities.
On top of that, you’re walking distance from St Peter & Paul’s Cathedral, along with some of the best restaurants in the city. It’s also really close to Super Panda Circus, which is an awesome cocktail bar!
It’s a great place to stay and quite unique compared to most of the modern and luxury hotels in the city. Check out Royal Ricc’s prices and availability here.
Alternative stay: Brno Reservoir (wellness hotels)

If you’re looking for a more relaxing getaway, there’s also the option to stay down by the Brno Reservoir instead.
This area is about 20 minutes from the city centre by car or 30-45 minutes by public transport, and you’ll be surrounded by nature and wake up close to the beautiful lake (Brno Reservoir).
We’ve stayed in this area twice, the first time at OREA Resort Santon, and the second time at Atlantis Wellness Brno, which both have really nice spa areas!
